Autograph letter signed, dated : Berlin June 30 1854, to [Heinrich Carl Breidenstein], 1854 June 20.

Expressing regret that Breidenstein cannot make use of the volume of organ works, a mere curiosity that stood idly in his library for 20 years but a source that is now essential and irreplaceable in his present work: he has been entrusted with the specifications of the giant organ in the Crystal Palace in London; discussing some of the problems he faces, especially the relation between the reed stops and mutation stops, thanking Breidenstein for enriching Haupt's collection, etc.
